About the Conference

Yuva Sajhedari 2

Yuva Sajhedari 2.0 was held on 21st August 2025 at Silverline Prestige School, Nehru Nagar Branch, Ghaziabad, and was designed for students of Grades 4 to 8. The one-day conference provided a vibrant, interactive platform for young participants to engage with 4 committees spanning parliamentary processes, global health, sports, and media — all designed to be both accessible and intellectually stimulating for junior learners.

The conference aimed to nurture the next generation of confident communicators and thoughtful citizens. By placing young delegates in the shoes of lawmakers, health officials, sports administrators, and journalists, Yuva Sajhedari 2.0 made governance both meaningful and memorable — sending each participant home with a new sense of civic awareness and personal agency.

The Opening Ceremony of Yuva Sajhedari 2.0 was a joyful and meaningful celebration that welcomed young delegates into a space designed for their voices. The ceremony began with a warm floral welcome extended to the Guest of Honour, Mrs. Poonam Mehrotra, followed by the traditional Ganesh Vandana that filled the hall with a spirit of auspiciousness and unity.

Mrs. Poonam Mehrotra then addressed the gathering with inspiring words that acknowledged the potential and importance of young communicators in shaping a better society. The RYS Co-Founders offered an overview of the day's agenda and encouraged every delegate to participate with enthusiasm, empathy, and integrity — setting the tone for a rich and rewarding conference experience.

4 Committees

Committees & Their Discussions

Lok Sabha

The Lok Sabha committee engaged young delegates in a spirited debate on equal access to quality education across India. Participants explored systemic inequalities in the education system and proposed reforms to ensure every child — regardless of geography, gender, or economic background — has an equal opportunity to learn and thrive.

The committee also featured a special Baltopia activity involving Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), giving delegates a hands-on experience of the democratic process and helping them understand the mechanics of free and fair elections in a fun, engaging way.

WHO — World Health Organization

In the WHO committee, delegates stepped into the roles of global health officials addressing the pressing issue of child health and wellbeing. Discussions spanned topics from nutrition, mental health, and access to healthcare in underserved communities to the challenge of combating misinformation about children's health in the digital age.

The committee complemented its debates with a creative Baltopia activity where participants imagined and designed their ideal "Baltopia" — a utopian world where every child is healthy, happy, and supported — translating their policy discussions into a vivid, imaginative vision of the future they want to create.

Sports Authority of India

The Sports Authority of India committee took on one of the most relatable debates for young students — the eternal tension between academics and athletics. Delegates argued passionately for the inclusion of sports as a mandatory and valued part of the school curriculum, making the case for how physical activity improves mental sharpness, emotional resilience, and long-term wellbeing.

Adding an exciting twist, the committee featured a cricket crisis simulation where delegates had to manage an unexpected match-day emergency, make quick decisions under pressure, and collaborate as a team — teaching leadership, adaptability, and crisis management in the most engaging way possible.

Creative Press

The Creative Press committee gave young storytellers, writers, and visual thinkers a powerful platform to express their perspectives through journalism and media. Delegates explored the role of the media in a democracy, debating how responsible reporting can inform, inspire, and hold power to account — and what happens when misinformation spreads unchecked.

The highlight of the committee was a hands-on newspaper-making activity where participants worked in editorial teams to produce a mini-newspaper covering the day's events at Yuva Sajhedari 2.0. The activity fostered teamwork, creativity, and an appreciation for the craft and responsibility of journalism.
