The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp and the traditional Saraswati Vandana, followed by a warm welcome address by the Principal, Smt. Nidhi Gaur, and an introduction by RYS Chairman Shri J.K. Gaur. The Co-Founders of Rajdhani Yuva Sansad then provided an inspiring overview of the organisation's mission and the vision behind Global Panchayat 2.0, setting the stage for two days of powerful discourse.
Committees & Their Scope
Designed for younger delegates, this committee introduced participants to the parliamentary process in an accessible and engaging way. Delegates debated issues relevant to their age group — from education quality and school infrastructure to online safety — and learned the fundamentals of motions, amendments, and voting procedures.
The lively atmosphere encouraged even the shyest participants to find their voice, creating a memorable space where junior students discovered the power of structured, respectful dialogue.
The United Nations committee brought together delegates representing countries from across the globe to deliberate on pressing international challenges. Discussions centred on global cooperation frameworks, diplomacy in conflict zones, and sustainable development — encouraging participants to think beyond borders and develop empathy for diverse perspectives.
Delegates demonstrated commendable research, articulation, and negotiation skills, producing substantive position papers and model resolutions that reflected genuine engagement with the issues at hand.
The Creative Press committee gave aspiring journalists, writers, and visual communicators an exciting platform to cover Global Panchayat 2.0 from the inside. Participants took on roles of reporters, editors, photographers, and social media correspondents, producing real-time content about the conference's proceedings and key debates.
The committee developed critical media literacy skills and reinforced the importance of responsible, factual, and impactful reporting in a democratic society.
The IOC committee explored the intersection of sports, politics, and global ethics. Delegates debated issues such as athlete welfare, doping regulations, the role of international sporting events in fostering diplomacy, and the inclusion of athletes from underrepresented nations and communities.
Discussions were energetic and well-informed, reflecting a strong understanding of the broader role of sport in shaping national identity, soft power, and youth development across the world.
The United Nations Human Rights Council committee engaged delegates in nuanced and often emotional discussions about some of the world's most pressing human rights challenges — from refugee crises and freedom of expression to child rights and climate justice. Participants navigated difficult ethical terrain with maturity and compassion.
The committee produced robust draft resolutions and created a space where different worldviews were heard and challenged, strengthening each delegate's capacity for ethical reasoning and cross-cultural dialogue.
The senior Lok Sabha committee provided advanced delegates with a rigorous simulation of the Indian parliamentary process. Participants engaged in Question Hour, introduced private member bills, participated in clause-by-clause debates, and cast votes on substantive legislative proposals — mirroring the complexity of real lawmaking.
Debates were sharp, evidence-driven, and often spirited, with delegates demonstrating a high level of preparedness and an impressive grasp of policy nuance, constitutional provisions, and legislative procedures.
This unique committee transported delegates back to pivotal moments in history, asking them to assume the roles of key historical figures and stakeholders in watershed decisions. By engaging with the past, participants gained a deeper understanding of how decisions made in earlier eras continue to shape the present.
The committee sparked rich discussions on leadership, ethics, and the long-term consequences of political and social choices — giving delegates a profound sense of historical consciousness and its relevance to contemporary governance.
The International Press committee challenged delegates to adopt the perspective of global media correspondents covering multi-lateral negotiations and international summits. Participants crafted opinion pieces, conducted mock press conferences, and produced editorial content that required both analytical rigour and compelling communication.
The committee reinforced the vital role of a free and informed press in holding power to account, while sharpening delegates' skills in writing, public speaking, and critical analysis of world events.
