Inaugural Ceremony

Inaugural ceremony

The Inaugural Ceremony of Global Panchayat 1.0 was marked by a gesture of warmth and intent, as planters were ceremonially presented to Guests of Honour Shri Nikhil Wath Ji and Shri Deepak Tenguriya Ji, the Executive Board members, and the Co-Founders of Rajdhani Yuva Sansad.

These planters symbolised the conference's core philosophy — that ideas, like plants, must be nurtured, sustained, and cared for over time to grow into something truly meaningful.

The ceremony set a thoughtful and inspiring tone for the two days ahead, with addresses from the dignitaries that encouraged every delegate to approach the committees with curiosity, empathy, and a genuine commitment to the power of dialogue over division. It was a beginning that promised — and delivered — a conference of real substance and impact.

5 Committees

Diverse Forums of Dialogue

UNGA — United Nations General Assembly
Global Cybersecurity with Emphasis on Child Safety

Delegates representing nations from across the globe deliberated on the alarming rise in cyber offences targeting children, exploring the intersection of digital access, online predation, and freedom of expression. Representatives debated the need for internationally binding legal frameworks, minimum standards of online safety for minors, and cross-border cooperation between law enforcement agencies.

The committee produced draft resolutions calling for the establishment of dedicated global child cyber safety units within existing UN mechanisms, and urged member states to mandate age-appropriate digital literacy as a core component of national education curricula.

Lok Sabha
Gender-Based Violence & Women's Safety in India

The Lok Sabha committee engaged in a deeply serious and well-researched debate on the epidemic of gender-based violence in India, examining everything from domestic violence and workplace harassment to the underreporting of crimes against women in rural and tribal areas. Participants pressed for stronger enforcement of existing protections, faster judicial processes, and safe reporting mechanisms.

The debate was marked by courageous personal testimonies and sharp policy interventions, with delegates proposing comprehensive reforms to the criminal justice system, community-level awareness programmes, and the strengthening of the National Commission for Women as an independent, empowered body.

Sports Authority of India
Integrating Sports into School Curriculum

The SAI committee tackled the undervaluation of sports in India's formal education system, making the case for why physical activity, competitive sport, and team-based games are not extracurricular luxuries but essential to holistic child development. Delegates cited compelling research linking regular physical activity to improved academic outcomes, mental health, and social skills.

Practical proposals emerged from lively debate — including the allocation of dedicated sports periods at all school levels, the recruitment of qualified sport coaches in government schools, and the creation of inter-school competitions as a pipeline for identifying and nurturing sporting talent from underserved communities.

Marvel: Commission on Superhuman Activities
Bullying, Harassment & Diversity through a Superhero Lens

In one of the most creative and imaginative committee formats ever deployed at a youth conference, delegates assumed the personas of superheroes and superhuman figures to debate the very human issues of bullying, harassment, and exclusion in schools and communities. The Marvel Commission challenged participants to use the language and logic of extraordinary abilities to explore very ordinary — and very real — social injustices.

The committee produced some of the most inventive ideas of the conference, with delegates drawing on pop culture to make arguments for inclusion, allyship, and the responsibility of the powerful to protect the vulnerable. It was a memorable demonstration of how creativity and imagination can be powerful tools for civic education and social change.

International Press

The International Press committee served as the conference's eyes and ears — with delegates taking on the roles of journalists, editors, and media correspondents covering the proceedings of all other committees. Participants crafted real-time dispatches, opinion pieces, and editorial content that required both analytical precision and compelling narrative communication.

The committee reinforced the vital importance of a free, fact-based, and responsible press in a functioning democracy, and gave delegates an appreciation for the craft of journalism that extended far beyond the conference hall. Their reporting captured the energy, ideas, and impact of Global Panchayat 1.0 in a lasting record of youth-driven civic engagement.

Valedictory

The Valedictory Ceremony of Global Panchayat 1.0 was graced by Shri Piyush Gupta Ji, Founder Trustee of Lawyers for Justice, who served as Chief Guest. His address was a celebration of the conference's achievements and the delegates who had made it exceptional — praising the quality of debate, the maturity of ideas, and the evident commitment of young participants to the values of dialogue, democracy, and civic responsibility.

Shri Gupta Ji challenged delegates to carry the lessons of Global Panchayat 1.0 into their lives, communities, and careers — to remain curious, stay informed, and never stop advocating for the change they wish to see. The recognition of achievements across all five committees brought the conference to a triumphant and meaningful close, marking the successful conclusion of RYS's first edition of Global Panchayat.
