Bal Sansad 1.0

Nurturing Tomorrow's Leaders from an Early Age

In August 2024, Rajdhani Yuva Sansad launched Bal Sansad 1.0, a pioneering initiative designed to introduce younger students — from Classes 3 to 5 — to the world of parliamentary democracy, diplomacy, and public speaking. The event marked a significant step in RYS's mission to extend civic education to the grassroots level, engaging children at an age where curiosity and imagination are at their peak.
Held on 7 August 2024 in New Delhi, Bal Sansad 1.0 engaged approximately 150 students through an immersive, age-appropriate mock parliamentary experience. The programme included introductory sessions on how the Indian Parliament and the United Nations function, along with a lively International Press simulation that encouraged participants to observe, report, and articulate their views on the proceedings.
The event was designed to make democratic engagement accessible, fun, and educational for young learners — planting the seeds of informed citizenship and responsible leadership from an early age. Bal Sansad represents RYS's commitment to building a pipeline of aware, articulate, and engaged young citizens who understand the value of democratic participation.
